From Childhood to Now: Creating Out of the Ordinary

May 2025's presentation was our dynamic duo of John Kaskela and Melanie Mead. John shares his wild and weird creations hand-built with molds, homemade and found object texture tools, along with lots of great tips. Melanie shares her process for making beautiful flower petal bowls.

Tosca Kerr: Purpose, Passion, Patience, & Flow


For our February 2024 meeting, we held a hybrid in-person and Zoom meeting with Tosca Kerr at her Lively Mind Art Studio in Phoenix. Unfortunately, we experienced some technical difficulties with our new sound equipment and most of the first 20 minutes had no sound. We apologize and have clipped out the first part of the video. We hope you will still enjoy this interactive presentation with Tosca as she shares her story of creating a space for art creation and growth both for herself and others. She shows her process of art collaboration with the meeting participants.

CRC Tour with Curator Mary-Beth Buesgen

Arizona State University's Ceramic Research Center, a part of the ASU Art Museum, houses a world-class collection of modern ceramic art, provides beautifully curated ceramic shows to the public, and has a treasure trove of resources for ceramic art research. CRC Curator Mary-Beth Buesgen takes AZ Clay on a virtual tour of the current exhibition "DinnerWhere" and gives a walk through of the open collection and other resources.
